Improvements on Next-Step-of-Faith

There is so much on the Next-Step-of-Faith Website that I've had to add a new feature. If you go to any of the pages now, on the sidebar on the left, there is a Google Search link. That will bring you to a Search Site Page where you can type in any author's name, any word, any subject, anything, and you'll find it if it's on the website. I'm pleased that this new feature will help our readers and each other find what we're looking for.

And, by using this Google tool, we'll all have an easier time of being found when someone searches for our names on the internet. I'm very excited that this should help us improve our readership and the way people find us on the net. How fun is that???!!!

Writing Opportunities for Pay...

As many of you know, the Next-Step-of-Faith is great training ground for writers to perfect their craft. I wanted to pass along a writing opportunity that may result in being paid for your writing talent:

Chicken Soup for the Chocolate Lovers Soul and Chicken Soup for the Tea Lovers Soul will not be published until October 2007. Final deadline for stories is March 31, 2007. Contributors will not be notified until next May if their stories make the final selection. You may send your story directly to the e-mail address in the http://rs6.net/tn.jsp?t=dyefy9bab.0.8vcny9bab.yfvmn9n6.3835&ts=S0220&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.chickensoup.com%2F website. They are also doing books for wine and coffee at the same time too, but Theresa Peluso at Health Communications Inc. (Chicken Soup's publishers) is doing those and collecting stories for them. Her e-mail address is teri@hcibookspub.com. Feel free to send your chocolate and tea stories to me if you'd like someone to help you proof and/or edit your works.

Launch of New Blog for Next-Step-of-Faith

When I say busy,
I mean "B-U-S-Y".

With over 25 writers now, it's difficult to get together for our bi-monthly Writers' Prayer & Gatherings these days. Let's face it. We all have a life and most of us seem to have more than one life we are responsible for. BUSY is almost too small of a word for all of us. So, even after celebrating our 1 year anniversary as a website ministering to hundreds of people across the country, I decided it was time to use the internet in another way to stay connected with our authors and audience.

Welcome to the Next-Step-Of-Faith Blog. I've learned HTML programming, and now it's time I learn about BLOGGING. What FUN! So, let's see how this goes and if it helps us all stay better connected. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns by using the "Give Feedback" form on the www.next-step-of-faith.com website, okay? Hope to hear from many of you soon!
